We also advocate for the rationalization of GST rates to ensure they are more straightforward and affordable. A streamlined GST system will reduce the overall cost burden on homebuyers and developers, promoting greater activity in the sector.</p> <p>We urge the government to revise capital gains taxation to make it more favourable for real estate transactions. For instance, the current holding period for long-term capital gains tax on real estate should be reduced from 24 months to 12 months.
