<p class="rvps9"><span class="rvts14">How to Select Dimensions and Measures</span></p>
<p class="rvps5"><span class="rvts8">Dimensions and measures are the fundamental elements of analysis and report creation. Dimensions and measures can be grouped for more effective analysis. For example, the Dimension Group Time could include Week, Month, Quarter, Year, and Date.</span></p>
<p class="rvps5"><span class="rvts8">Measure groups can be a mix of weights, units, sales revenue such as gross sales and net sales values.</span></p>
<p class="rvps5"><span class="rvts8">This section describes how to select these elements and work with them.</span></p>
<p class="rvps14"><span class="rvts16">How to Select a Dimension</span></p>
<p class="rvps32"><span class="rvts17">Dimensions are listed as links in the Analyze By section of the Analyze screen. To select a dimension, click the name of the dimension. For example, to view data for a week, select </span><span class="rvts15">Time&gt;Week</span><span class="rvts22">.</span></p>
<p class="rvps14"><span class="rvts16">How to Select a Measure</span></p>
<p class="rvps32"><span class="rvts17">Different measure groups are displayed in the Measures section of the Analyze screen. Select the appropriate measure group corresponding to the measures that you want to view.</span></p>
<p class="rvps23"><span class="rvts17"> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</span><img alt="" style="padding : 1px;" src="lib/Note icon.png"/><span class="rvts14"> </span><span class="rvts17">If you see a closed folder icon beside the name of the dimension group, it means that the particular dimension is minimized (collapsed). Click on the closed folder icon to expand the dimension group. You now see the open folder icon beside the dimension group. &nbsp;The associated dimensions are displayed below the dimension group.</span></p>
<p class="rvps32"><span class="rvts17">For example, to view gross sales:</span></p>
<p class="rvps67"><span class="rvts17">1. Move to the Measures section of the Analyze screen, and select </span><span class="rvts15">Sales[1]</span><span class="rvts17"> from the drop-down list. The corresponding measures are displayed as check boxes.</span></p>
<p class="rvps45"><span class="rvts17">2. Select the </span><span class="rvts15">Gross</span><span class="rvts17"> check box.</span></p>
