<p class="rvps9"><span class="rvts14">How to Calculate Month Over Month Variance</span></p>
<p class="rvps5"><span class="rvts8">There are two ways to calculate month over month variance. They are:</span></p>
<ul style="text-indent: 0px; margin-left: 24px; list-style-position: outside;"><ul style="text-indent: 0px; margin-left: 48px; list-style-position: outside;">
<li class="rvps17" style="margin-left: 0"><span class="rvts8">By creating a filter: In this case you need to create filters for two months from your report.</span></li>
<li class="rvps17" style="margin-left: 0"><span class="rvts8">By drilling in to months: In this case you need to select two months from your report.</span></li>
</ul></ul>
<p class="rvps32"><span class="rvts17">You can calculate the month over month variance in the Analyze screen. </span><span class="rvts8">To reach the Analyze screen, in the CUBOT menu, click the </span><span class="rvts9">ANALYZE</span><span class="rvts8"> tab. </span></p>

<p class="rvps44"><span class="rvts17">To generate a Month Over Month Variance report using filters, do the following:</span></p>
<p class="rvps63"><span class="rvts17">1. Move to the Analyze By section of the Analyze screen and do the following:</span></p>
<p class="rvps126"><span class="rvts17">a. From a dimension group, select the name of the dimension for which you want to generate a report. For example, from the </span><span class="rvts15">Sales Zone</span><span class="rvts17"> dimension group, select </span><span class="rvts15">Zone</span><span class="rvts17">.</span></p>
<p class="rvps125"><span class="rvts17">b. From the</span><span class="rvts15"> Time</span><span class="rvts17"> dimension group, select </span><span class="rvts15">Month</span><span class="rvts17">.</span></p>
<p class="rvps126"><span class="rvts17">c. Create two different filters on the Month dimension. For example create a filter for both February and March. For more details on how to create filter, see </span><a class="rvts23" href="UsingFiltersforAnalysis.html">Using &nbsp;Filters for Analysis.</a></p>
<p class="rvps12"><span class="rvts8">2. Move to the Measures section of the Analyze screen, and select </span><span class="rvts9">Sales</span><span class="rvts8"> measure group from the drop-down list. The corresponding measures are displayed as check boxes.</span></p>
<p class="rvps11"><span class="rvts8">3. </span><span class="rvts17">Select the </span><span class="rvts15">Gross</span><span class="rvts17"> check box</span><span class="rvts8"> &nbsp;</span></p>
<p class="rvps116"><span class="rvts17">4. &nbsp;In the Graph controls menu, go to the in the first</span><span class="rvts15"> </span><span class="rvts17">drop-down list, and select the</span><span class="rvts15"> % Variance</span><span class="rvts17"> option.</span></p>
